About Nature, ESG & CSR

Below you will find useful knowledge
as well as relevant links in regard to ESG & CRS

For the ones not being familiar with the abbreviations, here some explanation:
ESG = Environmental Social Governance (Umwelt, Soziales & Unternehmensführung)
CSR = Corporate Social Responsibility (Soziale Verantwortung von Unternehmen)

We see how important bringing meaning, respecting resources as well as humans is in the 21st century. With our work, we contribute to bring awareness in regard to these fields to orgnisations.

One aspect is how to create a 'culture of health' [Harvard certified] to the organisation, community and the wider field. Are you interested to get to know more? Then feel free to get in touch.
We are happy to serve.

P.S.: Useful links in addition to the ones shared below:

Support the Save Soil Movement
This movememnt alone addresses 12 of the 1

[17 goals for a sustainable development by 2030 - adopted by all UN member states in 2015, building on decades of work by countries and the UN, i.e. initiated by the Earth Summit in June 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.]

Soil degradation is a global issue:
We need to have 3-6% organic content in our soil in order to feel nourished enough when eating our food.
If our soil doesn't carry enough nutrients, that are transfered into the food we eat, we feel mal-nourished and
try to compensate [often unsuccessfully] our feeling of 'not being nourished enough' through additional [wild/unhelpful] means.

In order to support planting trees and thereby boosting biodiversity further, we support

The Queen's green canopy platinum jubilee in 2022 by having bought
10 trees for cities & schools
10 trees in memoriam for the ones that went before us.

By supporting this initiative, we added 20 trees: 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳 to our biosphere.

If you would like to support this nation wide project in the UK as well, please have a look here.

We now support a total of 170 trees in the UK.
Help making a difference & join us!

Action that is already being taken and that you might want to support as well:

A brighter future for nature & people
On a philosophical note: Rethink your own role as a species sharing earth among all the others species needing a habitat.

With the organisation #treesforlife we created our grove in the highlands of Scotland in the middle of this year.

Now we doubbled our efforts and planted additional 100 trees:

-> They are now 150 trees 🎉 have a look.

#trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands near Loch Ness.
Our now 150 trees will create together a viable #ecosystem and provide a #habitat for a wide variety of #wildlife

In addition to that they also transform harmful
#co2 into #oxygen.
The precious oxygen #life on #earth needs to breathe & live its life well. Now and in the #future

#co2reduction # #climate #forestsmatter #conservation #leadership#sustainablebusiness

With the organisation 'trees for life' in the highlands of Scotland, we created a grove for van der Glas & van der Glas and planted 50 trees.

Please have a look here.

The trees in this grove will be carefully planted in protected sites in the Scottish Highlands where they will create homes for wildlife and forests for the future.

May the trees grow strong & old
so that they can form
a habitat for wildlife
provide life with oxygen.

We are:

  • supportive:

In 2021 there came another 2 beehomes from 'wildbees & partner'. [as of 2022: 6 in total]
Since 2019 we support 'Pro Natura' with yearly sponsorships.
Since 2018 we support 'wildbees & partner' (a swiss organisation) with 4 beehomes, that provide a home for wild bees and help pollinate the plants and orchards around our area.

  • active:

During two weekends in spring 2019, 2020, 2021 we cleaned the nearby rivers from plastic waste / pet bottles. We collected more than 80 litres of waste and brought it to the recycling post.

  • sustainable:

Over the past 20 years, we nursed more than 50+ trees, shrubs, roses & tulips as well as a variety of wildlife (sparrows, magpies, blue tits, great tits, blackbirds, fish, frogs, toads, bees & butterflies) and supported biodiversity in our backyard.

Some of the trees, like willow, oak, birch and beech, now look forward to be planted in the wild.
Good to know: trees lower the pollution in the air and provide us with an essential ingredient for life: oxygen. Furthermore forests help us to recharge and balance our energy levels and in connection with soil and rocks they purify our drinking water.

  • nature:

Since our trees start to outgrow their big containers, we look for suitable land 10+ hectares, as well as philanthropists supporting our project. We would love to hear from you!

  • This is our why we help environments to flourish for the well-being of all involved.
